Real Logistics as a part of One Belt One Road Initiative

The New Silk Road (新 丝绸之路 – xinsichouzhi lu) it is not only many kilometers of land and sea routes but above all the idea of building international cooperation and the concept of searching for the most effective methods of intercontinental transport.

The New Silk Road Initiative was presented by the President of China, Xi Jinping, in 2013 in Kazakhstan. The New Silk Road aimed to expand the sphere of influence, strengthen China’s position in the international arena, and shape economic relations between the members. The New Silk Road currently connects 139 countries. As a diplomatic tool, it motivates member countries to cooperate in matters of investments and trade.

The history of the Initiative dates back to antiquity. Between the 3rd and 17th centuries BCE, the Silk Road was formed by an overland trade route connecting China with Europe and the Middle East.
The starting point of the Silk Road was Xi’an, the capital of China at that time. In total, the distance measured about 12 thousand km. It took over six years to complete the entire route. Mainly iron, silk, paper, gold, jade, tea, spices, and perfumes were transported. Silk Road also made it possible to exchange ideas and achievements of science. After discovering the sea route to China, its importance was getting low.

Due to its geographical location, Poland is a gateway for goods transported to the European Union. The land route in Poland runs through several cities that are influential logistics and transshipment junctions: Małaszewicze, Gdańsk, and Sławków.
For the last 15 years, Real Logistics has been handling the transport of goods between China and Poland. Due to long-lasting cooperation with the People’s Republic of China and trust in our services, we were invited to participate in a movie about the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
