Port of Savannah

GPA (Georgia Ports Authority) has reached a milestone by putting into operation the first nine of 18 new working tracks, with its first two rail mounted gantry cranes to be commissioned this month, under its Mason Mega Rail project, which has been in the works for over four years. The Port of Savannah’s rail capacity will double to two million TEU per year and benefit by an expanded service to the Southeast and Midwestern USA .
