Federal Aviation Administration

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has provided certification for Avion Express Malta to conduct passenger and cargo flights to and from the US. The Maltese company will now be able to make wet-lease agreements with companies throughout North America. It responded quickly to the changing market situation by reconfiguring its passenger aircraft to freighters to meet the soring demand for cargo capacity. Air Express Malta had to pass various checks and procedures required by the FAA, the Department of Transportation and the Transportation Security Administration. This procedure took over six months.
